Welcome to AWA Flying Group, Coventry – Quality private pilot instruction and aircraft hire in a friendly club atmosphere since 1954.
The group was founded by a small number of workers at the nearby Armstrong Whitworth factory, with membership being made available to the public when the factory closed.
Our mission is to:
“encourage and carry out all activities and interests appertaining to the sport of flying and, in particular, to foster low cost flying.”
We are able to deliver this by operating on a not-for-profit basis with all income in excess of our costs going back into the aeroplanes and clubhouse facilities.We hope that you enjoy finding out more about the group through this site.
